Freeing Energy is a movement to leverage micro grids comprised of millions of solar rooftops and small battery systems to transform the provision of energy previously the exclusive purview of our century-old, centralized electric grid. BrandCulture invented the "Active 'e'" logo and identity system for Freeing Energy. Part symbol, part anthropomorphized representation of an empowered and engaged person with new agency to reclaim the provision of power from dominant utilities.
The new "Active 'e'" system conveys both the promise of a new energy revolution offering "power by the people for the people."

We then provided design direction and assets for the Freeing Energy podcast library, book and resources along with a series of communication tools to help innovators, entrepreneurs, policymakers, concerned citizens and communities everywhere to advance efforts to build a future of clean, sustainable power for all.
