Jon Hutson
Managing Director

Jon is a pioneer in wedding the disciples of strategic branding and culture development united in Shared Purpose. From the time he had the prescience to purchase the domain “BrandCulture.com” back in the last Millennium, Jon cultivated the idea of forming a new kind of agency that integrates brand and organizational development as the flip sides of the same coin. With BrandCulture now in its second decade, Jon takes singular satisfaction in finding that the world has, at long last, come around to his point of view.

Jon has previously held senior strategic and business development roles within Wolfgang Puck, Siegel + Gale, Imagination and Caribiner International, where his clients have included BMW, BEA Systems, Ford, The Coca-Cola Company, Holiday Inn Worldwide, Jiffy Lube, Lexus, Motorola, Philips Electronics and other global organizations.

Jon serves on the board of the Michael Hoefflin Foundation and holds a BS in Finance from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse and an MS in Real Estate and Urban Affairs from Georgia State University.

Eric Pinckert
Managing Director

As a Co-founder and Managing Director of BrandCulture, Eric leads BrandCulture’s strategy practice. Across his career, Eric has worked with big and small organizations alike put their respective best feet forward through strategic branding, naming, print and digital media.

Prior to BrandCulture, Eric served in a variety of client- and agency-side executive positions, including Head of Corporate Affairs and Head of Strategic Marketing for LRN Corporation and Senior Vice President at global branding and interactive media consultancy Siegel + Gale. Earlier, Eric was an attorney with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto, where he specialized in representing technology clients.

Eric is an honors graduate of Harvard Law School, holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Stanford University where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He also studied at St. Catherine’s College, Oxford and the University of Urbino in Italy.

Patrizia Schopf
Creative Director

Leading corporate and product identity programs from BrandCulture’s Barcelona office, Patrizia’s decade-plus experience developing visual identity systems for a variety of organizations across Europe brings BrandCulture’s clients not only deeply strategic design solutions, but a distinctly progressive aesthetic. Patrizia’s most recent work includes developing breakthrough identity systems for Proxima, Bovitz, Westwood Village and the Center for the Digital Future.

Patrizia started her career with QWER Design and also served as an art director with SUMMA, roles in which she led creative development for Indo, the Barcelona Voll-Damm Jazz Festival, Kulturregion Hanover and Apiserum.

Patrizia currently teaches design at IED Barcelona. She is a graduate of the Communications Design program at the University of Applied Science in Augsburg and completed postgraduate studies at EINA Escola de Disseny i Art in Barcelona.

Andrea De La Cerda
Senior Consultant

Andrea brings foundational marketing strategy and precise execution in equal measure to BrandCulture — with an extra dash of and social media mastery. For over a decade, Andrea has served leading brands, including Pacific Life, Honda, Nestlé and Public Storage, at a number of prominent agencies. More recently, Andrea has expanded her media relations practice to focus on the dynamic world of social media and marketing, counseling BrandCulture’s client’s on SEO and best practices for their online promotions and networking.

Andrea is a recipient of the Monty McKinney Award for Outstanding Advertising by AAAA and was recognized as a “40 under 40” recipient for co-founding the popular family-focused social network sites SCV-Moms.com & SCV-Family.com. When not delivering exceptional value to BrandCulture clients, Andrea advocates for three local non-profits as an active board member: The SCV Family YMCA, Justin Time Children’s House and Family Promise of Santa Clarita Valley. Andrea holds both a BA in Advertising & Business Administration and an MA in Education from Pepperdine University, where she was awarded “Advertiser of the Year” in 1999.

Sally Hwang
Design Director

Sally brings unparalleled cross-disciplinary design expertise to the BrandCulture team. A seasoned creative director and designer with a unique combination of identity, information and interactive design experience, Sally has honed her craft working with top-tier branding firms that include Addison, Desgrippes Gobe & Associates, Interbrand, The Brand Union and Landor. Her client experience is equally diverse, having worked with brands that range from Coca-Cola to Intel to Victoria's Secret, as well as breadth of financial services organizations including Mastercard, MBIA, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, PNC, State Street Global Advisors, JPMorgan Private Bank and more.

Sally holds a BA in Social Sciences from the University of California at Berkeley and a BFA in Graphic & Packaging Design from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA.

Olga Severina
Design Director

Olga comes to us by way of Ukraine. Holding extensive deep-rooted experience in graphic design, she has a true understanding of how to transform a brand into a thriving company. She is proficient in multimedia marketing and web design with first-hand management experience, both internationally and here in Los Angeles. Her previous work experience includes stints at Netkach Promotions, Aplent Design Group, Publishing House Personalities and All American Pet Group. Olga works with BrandCulture’s clients in developing corporate identity, marketing collateral and website design.

Olga holds a BA, MA and PhD in Graphic Design from the Design Academy of Kharkov, Ukraine. She is fluent in Russian, Ukrainian and English.

Paul Hammond
Design Director

Paul is an internationally recognized Experiential Designer, utilizing his core skills in spatial design to bring brands to life through integrated experiential marketing communications. A seasoned design director, Paul’s work has spanned the far reaches of the globe and is a sought resource for some of the world’s largest agencies in Europe, North America and Asia. Paul’s honed his craft over a 20+ year career in interactive design, and has worked on projects for some of the world’s leading brands, including Anheuser Busch, Carnival Cruise Lines, Coca-Cola, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Samsung and 3M.

Paul specializes in 3D design, brand experience design, experiential design, environmental and exhibit design, and acts as the creative energy and vision behind Studio Five by Five, an independent media studio. Originally from West Yorkshire, England, Paul now resides in Los Angeles and holds a degree in Spatial Design from New Castle School of Art and Design.

Lilly Sur
Designer

As a designer, Lilly combines infectious enthusiasm with a unique combination of print, digital and motion-graphic design that helps activate BrandCulture client brands across today’s digital landscape.

She has been active launching BrandCulture’s own new brand identity, while providing design support for clients including Cinedigm, Epson, Michael Hoefflin Foundation, VMware and Westwood Village. Prior to BrandCulture, Lilly worked with Seoul-based Infinite and The Children's Museum at La Habra.

Lilly holds a BFA in Advertising from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA.

Franzisko López Bernad
Designer

Energizing the design department in our Barcelona office, Fran comes from a rich background of design work as well as teaching. He brings a magician’s legerdemain to transforming design into captivating video and motion graphic experiences. Fran earned his degree from EINA Escola de Disseny in Art in Barcelona and Taller d'Art Rafel Plaza.

In addition, Fran molds the minds of the future of Europe's best designers as a professor at the Taller d'Art Ateneu Santfeliuenc while simultaneously being a priceless addition to the BrandCulture team.

Sona Gevorkyan
Architectural Designer

Sona is an experienced residential, commercial, hospitality, furniture and product designer with an extensive work background from internationally recognized firms SOM and Rottet Studio, as well as teaching experience at SCI-Arc and Kyoto Seika University.

Sona received her Master of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee.

Savi Lopez Negrete
Design & Experience Strategist

Savi is a Design Strategist with a background in service design, ethnography and innovation. Her experience is cross-industry, ranging from healthcare and education to consumer goods and mixed-use developments. She utilizes a human-centered, interdisciplinary approach to tackle business, customer and societal challenges, specifically focusing on enhancing interactions. She has brought innovative thinking to clients such as Samsung, Honda, Lowe's, Shell Oil, Fruit of the Loom, Art Center College of Design, and The Truth Campaign, amongst others. Savi is passionate about design as a tool to re-envision systems, drive creativity and challenge the status quo. She has an MSc from The London School of Economics in City Design & Social Science and a BFA from Parsons The New School for Design in Integrated Design.

Gary Thompson
Analyst

Gary's path in branding started in a classroom in the heart of Paris. Upon returning to the States, he took a semester off to intern at a leading branding consultancy in Atlanta.

Discontent with simply sitting in the classroom, Gary expanded his branding perspective when he took the role of Director of Brand Strategy at a start-up social media agency in his college town during his senior year, as well as after he graduated. There he worked across digital platforms shaping the brands of a wide variety of clients. After graduating with an international business degree from MSU, he continued his career developing brand strategy and creative campaigns for national clients at a digital marketing agency in Atlanta.

Gary brings his wide array of experience to BrandCulture where he drives research and develops insights that contribute to compelling proprietary brands.

Gloria Raney
Project Manager

Gloria brings an enthusiastic and fresh presence to building great brands here at BrandCulture by way of the Sunshine State. With a background in public relations and business, Gloria is both strategic and analytically minded and enjoys approaching brand management from all angles. She understands client’s needs, how to push initiatives through and thrives off of the BrandCulture teamwork spirit. She has been key player in working with our clients, including Wolfgang Puck and Srixon | Cleveland Golf | XXIO.

Gloria holds a BA in Public Relations from Auburn University, based in its eponymous town in Alabama. She was an active member of PRSSA ,as well as a continual officer for the professional business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi.

Melanie Murphy
Client Services Manager

Equal parts quick study and raconteur, Melanie excels at the art and science of developing the potential of great brands and distilling them into powerful and effective public and media relations campaigns. She brings disciplined focus and strategic energy to her work (only occasionally catalyzed by coffee), supporting the goals of her clients through compelling strategic marketing, public relations and social media initiatives that build enduring brand awareness, increase sales and drive market share. In the PR sphere, Melanie earned renown for orchestrating a media campaign that garnered more than 100 million media impressions. She also navigates seamlessly across the technology, healthcare, lifestyle, insurance and consumer industries, securing client coverage in leading publications from TechCrunch to The Wall Street Journal. Over her diverse career, she has represented leading brands including Johnson & Johnson, Allergan, DePuy Orthopaedics, Metagenics and Brighter.com.

Melanie holds a BA in Journalism: Public Relations
from the University of Georgia.

Joshua Maddux
UX Strategist

A strong analytical thinker with a healthy disregard for the status quo, Joshua excels at harnessing technology to solve tough problems. Committed to serving the oft-overlooked needs of the user, Josh pushes the limits of technology platforms to deliver brand and user experience that is second to none. Joshua specializes in Drupal development, but is also highly involved with the initial mapping, site architecture, SEO, UX solutions and ongoing site operations across client engagements. With more than a dozen awards for standout website work, Josh continues to stay at the vanguard of emerging best practices and incorporates the latest developments and new tools in technology to create stronger, more secure, more memorable and rewarding online experiences.

Joshua holds a BS in Business Organizational Management from the University of La Verne.

Kim Fox
Lead Developer

The three letters in “Kim” and three more in “Fox” serve as a visible hallmark of the efficiency, laser-like focus and eschewal of extraneous adornment that defines the elegance of Kim’s code and superb functionality of the websites she develops across BrandCulture engagements. With more than a decade of experience building sites on WordPress, Kim has remained true to her conviction that websites are not simply ambassadors for each brand, but also critical tools to achieve tangible business results. In addition to WordPress, Kim also specializes in HTML5, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript and jQuery. Kim builds websites for a wide range of both B2C and B2B businesses with equal relish and also has an extensive portfolio of custom applications and
WordPress plug-ins.

Kim holds a BA from The Master’s College.
